You won’t need any introduction to the etched keypad because nothing has changed from the RAZR. It remains responsive and easy to operate. Motorola’s user interface has long been renowned for being a nightmare to navigate but really this is a misleading description, often spread by people who don’t have the patience to master anything new. Okay, it may not be as intuitive as Nokia’s UI but Motorola has been working hard to make its wrongly accused interface more lucid.
The KRZR brings along these minor but welcome improvements: the number of clicks it takes to send a text has been reduced, while the choice of words that appear in predictive text mode now appear in the body copy for a more seamless approach; the search criteria when finding contact names is more accurate, taking you straight to the desired area, and the voice command operation is also enhanced. All these modifications will look to silence the dissenters and enhance the KRZR’s reputation.

Transfer music files
Use the memory card as the default USB connection:
M> Settings > Connectivity > USB Settings > Memory Card
On your computer, open iTunes and connect your phone to your computer using the included USB cable. Then drag and drop songs in the iTunes Source list to your phone.
Tip: You must have a memory card installed in the phone in order to transfer songs to the phone and play them using iTunes (see page 40).

Motorola just expanded its mobile phone offering with the release of seven new such devices. None of them is worthy of spotlight attention, though, as they are all low end ones, capable of responding only to the basic needs of the owners.

Motorola RAZR V9m Programming Steps
STEP ACTION
1 Enter the following into the phone without stopping - #+0+7+3+8+8+7+*.
• Phone will prompt user to the Security Code.
2 Enter 2+3+6+1+9+7 and press “OK”.
• You are now in Programming Menu.
3 Scroll down to “User Activation” and press “Select” using left soft key.
• Phone will prompt user to enter the Subsidy Password.
4 Enter the OTSL or MSL code and press “OK”.
5 With the “MIN” selected, press the center navigation key.
6 Use the “CLR” key to delete existing digits.
7 Enter the 10 digit MSID and press “OK” With the “MDN” selected, press the center navigation key.
8 Use the “CLR” key to delete existing digits.
9 Enter the 10 digit MDN and press “OK”.
10 Press “Done” and then press “Exit”.
• Phone will reset and is now programmed.

General Instructions
Powering On Your Phone Press and hold < > to turn your phone on and off. This key is also the key and is located to the right of the 4-Way Navigation key on your phone.
Answering Calls
To answer an incoming call, open the flip. Press if necessary.
The <+> Sign
The <+> sign is obtained by pressing and holding the <0> until it appears on the display.
Inserting/Removing SIM from Handset
1. With the back of the phone facing you, press the release button and pull the cover off. Remove the battery.
2. Insert/remove the SIM.
3. Replace the battery and phone cover to the back of the phone.
Manually Select a Network
NOTE: Not all networks support data services, customers using data services may need to manually select a network that supports data. Visit www.sprint.com/international for information on data coverage, and a list of carriers which support data in the country you are traveling.

This guide shows how to locate a menu feature as follows: Find it: Press a > s Recent Calls > Dialed Calls This example shows that, from the home screen, you press the menu key a to open the menu, scroll to and select s Recent Calls, then scroll to and select Dialed Calls. Press the navigation key S to scroll to and highlight a menu feature. Press the center key s to select the highlighted menu feature.

SIM card
Your Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card contains personal information like your phone number and address book entries.
Caution: Don’t bend or scratch your SIM card. Keep it away from static electricity, water, and dirt.
1 If necessary, press in the battery door release latch and remove the battery door.
2 Hold the SIM card with the gold plate facing down. Slide the SIM card under the metal clip and into the card slot as shown.

The V3XPersonalization Guide is now set up in 3 Volumes (Total of 13 sections):
• Volume 1: Mods, Skinning, Audio/Video, and Basic Terms and Definitions
• Volume 2: Java
• Volume 3: Hardware
• Volume 4: Q&A, Additional Terms and Definitions, Error Messages, WAP Settings, Miscellaneous Info
Some of these instructions are redundant and in different formats. That’s because this information was compiled from numerous sources/threads/guides prepared by many modders which can be found on Motomodders.net, Howardforums.com, and PlanetMotox.net. Because people process information differently, the redundant presentation of information may help many modders fully understand the tasks that are described. I’ve modified some of the information to fit my personal situation (what I did, what tool I used, etc.). I take no credit for figuring out the MMS Receive solution. All that credit goes to the people I’ve cited as contributors on the front of this guide and in the text itself. BTW: These instructions are for a Microsoft Windows XP, SP2 environment. I don’t own a MAC so I don’t cover MAC configurations—at least not yet.
