Permissions
A number of features in Poynt require that you enable permissions on your BlackBerry smartphone. These can include GPS use, phone access, and emailing search results. Depending on your device’s settings, you will be prompted whenever these permissions are required.
To set your device’s permissions manually, from your device’s main screen, select Options -> Security Options -> Application Permissions. Homescreen Poynt opens to the Homescreen, where you

The Location Bar
At any time, you can select the Location Bar at the top of the screen to change your search location.
Available options are:
• My GPS Location (default) – Poynt will use coordinates from your device’s GPS chip, if available, or cell-site location based on cell tower signals, to determine your current location, and provide search results near you.
• New Search Location – Use this feature to manually enter a search location. You can use a street address, city name, zip/postal code or landmark, anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
• Save Location – You can save any location (GPS, cell-site or manually entered) for easy access later. Save your work, home, grandma’s place, or just an interesting spot you were passing by on the street. Saved locations are kept in a separate tab, accessed from the Location Bar.
From the Title Bar, you can also choose from a list of your last five manually-entered search locations. To delete saved locations, please see the section on Options & Settings.
